How To Get Your Own Topographical Maps

More people are realizing that an over-reliance on battery powered devices isn’t the way to go. GPS and all the applications out there are great tools, but there is no substitute for having a quality paper topographical map and compass. But resourcing maps can be a challenge.

The United States Geological Survey is the source for all maps of the United States, and regardless of where you live, you can find detailed maps on their website. In this video, I’ll show you step by step how to navigate the site as well as show you a physical copy of a map I recently ordered.
