In 1991, the United States Marine Corps issued a prepackaged survival kit. By the time I came in (1995), I had no idea it was ever issued to be honest – but the kit does have some essential items and could be stored by itself, or cross loaded into other kits. What are your thoughts on pre-made kits? How will a kit packaged in 1991 stand the test of time?

I have found that everything that was issued to me still works even today some almost 50 years later.Funny thing is,I feel more comfortable with that gear than today’s stuff, and still does the job.
I feel ya Kennedy! I love my old gear now more than I did then. 🇺🇸
